About The Project

My Contribution:

  • Designing the layout together with other Level designers.

  • Propping, adding environment art.

  • Developing pipeline for the other disciplines

  • Lighting all scenes

  • Iterating on all sounds in the level and how they are triggered.

Production time:

  • 4 weeks half-speed = Around 80 hours.

  • Ghastlight game engine

Level Design Process

Protocol 14 was a short project where we essentially got the time to set up our pipelines within the group that we were going to keep for a year. It revolved creating a solid base for us to work with while we did minimal leveldesign with only a small room to work with.

Testing pipelines

While setting up the pipelines I created the positions of different assets that where made by the graphics team. This is a screenshot from Unreal Engine 5 showing us approximately what direction we wanted to go with the lighting and settings in the game engine by the end.

Closing thoughts

This project was a short task to create a puzzle experience while setting up our new groups pipelines. We worked closely with our graphics team to get an experience up and running. My favourite moments from this comes from create
